The ACBL is comprised of over 300 ACBL Units that host bridge tournaments within their boundaries. Unit 249 runs 6 sectional tournaments each year and a regional tournament every second year. The Unit also focuses on bridge education for players and club directors, promotes membership to the ACBL, and above all, attempts to enhance the enjoyment of the game for all members.

​Unit 249 includes 24 bridge clubs that encompass the geographic area in Southwestern Ontario from Guelph to Windsor to Georgian Bay.
